Below is the default email settings for Direct Admin that you can use for third-party email clients like Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.
We would strongly recommend using the server hostname (For example: mywebhost.co.za) instead of your own domain, as the hostname will always be kept updated with a valid SSL Certificate and DNS changes.
IMAP 
IMAP Server: mail.yourdomain.com or mail.mywebhost.co.za
IMAP PORT: 143 or 993 (SSL Required)
IMAP Username: youremail@yourdomain.com
IMAP Password: Password you used to create the email address.
POP3

POP3 Password: Password you used to create the email address.
POP3 Port: 110 or 995 (SSL Required)

Use advanced setup to add a POP or IMAP email account in Outlook for Windows

If you need to enter specific values for incoming and outgoing server names, port numbers, or SSL settings, you can use Outlook’s advanced setup option. You can use these instructions to add a POP or IMAP account to Outlook.

1. Open Outlook and select File > Add Account.
2. On the next screen, enter your email address, select Advanced options, then check the box for Let me set up my account manually and select Connect.
3. Select your account type. Most of the time when you need to use this option, you’ll select Pop3.
4. Enter your incoming and outgoing server settings and then select Next.

POP3 Settings

5) Enter your password and then select Connect.

On approval of your account, your user will be created and ready for use within 15 minutes of you signing up and paying! If your account is not automatically approved, it will be within at most 24 hours.

It will take a little bit longer for your domain name to be transferred or registered. New domain registrations and DNS transfers typically take 24-48 hours to work while the DNS propagates across the Internet.

Yes, we provide all our customers with their own Webmail access. What this means is that you can log on to the internet (to your web address webmail. www.yourdomain.co.za/webmail or www.mywebhost.co.za/webmail) and check your mail from any computer that has internet access.
